Vincent Zito, a violinist with the Symphony Orchestra of Rosario, a soloist in Radio LT3 and in the Symphony Orchestra of Córdoba, was the author of superb violin arrangements for popular tango songs. Zito’s “Estudii y Capricci”, the result of his experience and outstanding improvisation skills, for pieces such as “La Cumparsita”, “Alma de Bohemio” and “El Entrerriano”, were composed at the request of Maestro Ruggiero Ricci in order to perform and record them. Today they are a valuable educational and cultural contribution of violin to popular topics. Let’s hope that the performance of an arrangement for solo violin by Vincent Zito in the first instance of the Tango Prize of this competition will make these young violinists get to know and make known these musical gems to the world.
“Estudii y Capricci”, by Vicente Zito
"These “Estudii y Capricci” are certainly the result of a long tradition, but they’re also an extraordinarily rich and varied experience acquired at the popular concert performances in clubs and "Café - Concerts" ..."
